Chess-Live is a very good chess server. Although there are relatively few users compared to ICC and FICS, there are no cheaters. People are friendly and the free chess-live interface is excellent! Theres also a lot of titled players and for the not-so-seasoned players, theres enough lower ranked players too. For the people used to fics console commands, there is almost no difference. You can check it out @ http://www.chess-live.com/. When joining and asked the referents name, please use "Gulpa". Looking forward to seeing you there!

Removal of pirated chess materials

Hello,

My name is Peter Skinner.

I have been in contact with the host of this site being Hurricane Electric Internet Services (he.com) and informed them of the content being distributed here. This _is_ a breach of their terms of service.

I have also informed collegues of mine at the Software & Information Industry Association's Anti-Piracy Division (http://www.siia.net/piracy/) of the actions of this site, the content, and they have been on and catalogued it and the users here. They have already informed me that they have been tracking three individuals that have been sharing information over other p2p sources that are on this site, which puts all of you at risk. You can thank battousai, chessninja, and azaad for this. They seem to like the emule/edonkey network for some reason.

I am giving until Monday August 7, 2006 at 9 am MST before I will start the proceedings to have this site removed, the logs seized, and the site owner and users prosecuted for distribution of pirated software.

You people do not know the real damage you are doing as the software you are pirating is not from huge companies. It is from single source chess authors who feed their families from the sales of their software, which is not a great deal. They are not millionairres by any means and struggle for every sale.

You honestly should be ashamed of yourselves.
